ABSTRACT
The criminality of girls and women is an issue, which is sporadically undertaken in the
literature. The authors are generally concentrated on the characteristics of crime within
the male population. This undoubtedly stems from the fact that the size of the girls and
women’s crime is smaller in compare to the size of men’s crime. However, in recent
years, the indicators of crime and deviant behaviours of girls in Poland are growing
alarmingly. There has been the increased participation of girls in violent crime, carried
out with a high degree of aggression and violence.
