This study presents the issue defined as squatting, which characteristic features are among other things: occupying an abandoned or unoccupied space or building, high self-esteem, being a place of creation of alternative culture.There are presented two images of this reality: the first one refers to life of a person occupying an abandoned space or building, who is fascinated with literature; the second one is a result of a discussion with a person creating this reality.Squatting is therefore a specific way to confirm one’s own originality and a demonstration against living in imposed patterns.
