ABSTRACT
The process of shaping a child's identity is a complex and multidimensional phenomenon occurring in biological, psychological, social, and cultural contexts. One of the key, though often underestimated, factors supporting this process is genealogy — understood not only as the study of ancestors but also as the practice of intergenerational transmission, family narrative, and reflection on heritage. The article analyzes the significance of genealogy in the development of a child's identity, referring to psychosocial, pedagogical, and cultural concepts, with particular emphasis on the role of the family as a space for rooting and exploration.
