ABSTRACT
Abstract. The role of forecasting in countering terrorist threats.The
essay is dedicated to analysis of foresight and management of threats
to national security through prognostication of future trends in his area.
The Author discusses issues connected with pro-active and reactive
philosophy of terrorism combating, functions of future prognostication
and also the role of prognostication within the security system. The
article includes also thoughts on future threats to the security of Poland,
especially threats by terrorist organization s and other asymmetric threats
to national security.
