ABSTRACT
The countries of Eastern Europe, including Poland, have undergone a period of transformation that encompassed the systemic principles of the state as well as the mechanisms of the functioning of the economy. It is not without significance that changes are also observed in social relations that affect the functioning of the organization. Contacts and cooperation with other countries and organizations are becoming commonplace. Modern technologies make it possible to operate in virtual space and to communicate. The functions and functionalities of new technologies relate to the internal operation of an organization and relate, inter alia, to determining the rules of power and observing the organizational culture. Contemporary organizations cannot function without management perceived as a condition of achieving success. There are changes in the social, cultural and organizational spheres. The decisive factor in the development of an organization is knowledge, which allows for the mobility of resources. It is worth noting that organizations will undergo further changes. Currently, the market value of a given organization is determined by its intellectual capital, treated as its added value. The new challenges faced by the company require continuous improvement in the area of management processes, both human capital and the entire organization. The development of an organization depends on many factors, such as knowledge, information and financial capital. In addition, the skills and speed of adapting to constant changes in order to gain a competitive advantage in the market are important. The 21st century is a new economic order in which the most important factor is knowledge, inseparable from the people who create it and disseminate it. Knowledge has contributed to technological changes in a turbulent market where innovation and the ability to respond to changes in the environment are of particular importance. The substantive content of the studies presented in the presented monograph is of a diversified nature. The common denominator of the considerations undertaken by the authors are the issues related to the organization's undertaking such activities that may contribute to changes that give an advantage in the area in which the organization operates, a given organization (including the state) or the entity that creates it. Reading individual studies allows you to say that they remain in the area of changes in the organization. This makes the considerations of constant topicality. The studies contain theoretical and practical knowledge, showing categories, phenomena, and mechanisms of influencing organizations.
Effective management of any organization, regardless of its size and scope of operation, requires the use of modern management concepts. The level and development trends of the company’s effectiveness are of decisive importance for its functioning, development opportunities, as well as determining the external image on a competitive market. A modern management system requires rational organization of the enterprise and effective management of all economic processes. The study was based on four chapters. The first chapter entitled „Macro perspective of changes in the environment of contemporary organizations”, describes issues related to sustainable development as well as the pandemic situation in which enterprises must operate based on legal provisions. The second chapter, entitled „The Sectoral Perspective of Changes in Contemporary Organizations”, discusses the essence of changes taking place in enterprises. This applies in particular to technical and technological processes. In a sense, these problems can be treated as exogenous determinants of the management process. At the same time, they can be an application function helping in the correct decision-making of the management at the highest level of the enterprise. The third chapter, entitled „Changes in contemporary organizations – the micro perspective”, contains the essence and the need to pay attention to the problems related to corporate social responsibility. In addition, attention was drawn to the importance of knowledge for maintaining the competitiveness of the organization on the market. In this context, the involvement of management staff is extremely important. At the same time, the emerging threat resulting from the mobbing phenomenon, the effect of which may be occupational burnout for employees of organizations in all industries. The fourth chapter, entitled „Changes at the human level in contemporary organizations”, include issues related to the proper use of human capital. They allow enterprises to develop a human resource management strategy in organizations that embrace diversity as one of their organizational values. In this part of the study, attention was paid to Social Media in making purchasing decisions in relation to the Z generation.
